My name is LaRon Earving Byrd. I am the youngest of two children to JoAnn McLean and Leroy Byrd, Sr. My oldest brother, LeRoy Byrd Jr. is a Navy sailor and is my biggest inspiration. He’s definitely the real deal when it comes to basketball and I have learned a lot from him as it relates to ball handling, shooting, and conduct on and off the court. My mother taught my brother how to play basketball. So, I guess you can say it’ in our genes.

I am a humble, confident, player that thrives on challenges. I can play any position however; I currently run the Point Guard position for GAMP. Although GAMP is not known for its basketball program; we have been in the playoffs for the past two year, as a result of my leadership on the court.

I am looking forward to trying out for the Reebok Headliner’s Tryout camp and being amongst the exclusive Baller’s going to the next level.
