Tanner Wozniak, a rising sohpmore is a 6’-4" point guard that plays the 1 position extremely well while seeing the court better than most PG’s as a result of his height. Tanner also plays the 2 position (shooting guard) hitting 45% from the three (3) in his freshman year on varsity. He started the entire varsity season leading the team in points, assists and shooting percentage from the three and free throw line.

During the summer of 2008 Tanner Wozniak was invited to the Adidas Phenom 150 camp held in San Diego, CA. David Adkins, DeMatha assistant head coach (formely at Montrose Christian) recommended that Tanner attend the invitational Adidas Phenom 150 Camp. As a rising sophmore Tanner impressed many at the Adidas camp most notably Clark Francis with Hoops Scoop.

Although Tanner played out of his normal 1 – 2 position at the camp due to his height (6’-3”), Clark Francis with Hoops Scoop ranked him 17th best overall player at the Phenom camp. He was the only player from Florida selected to play in the Phenom All star game where he played well.

• AAU Team: Tanner played this past 2008 AAU season on the St. Paul Select 15U, compromised of many local (Pinellas County) athletes. The team played primarily in AAU tournaments as well as USSSA tournaments. The coach, Rudy Coffin, was the former Clearwater High School coach.

Tanner also played for the 2008 16U Florida Prospects team at the 16U AAU Nationals at Walt Disney and played in the 17U Showcase where he played well in both events.

High School Varsity: Tanner Wozniak, 6’-4” point guard (170 lbs), started on the Keswick Christian school varsity (as a freshman) team and led the team in the following categories:

• Scoring: 11.0 pts per game (1st)
• Assists: 4.0 per game (1st) – 3 to 1 assist to turnover ratio
• Rebounding: 3.0 per game (2nd)
• Steals: 1.5 per game (2nd)
• Shot 45% from the three (1st)
• Shot 42% from the two (2nd)
• Shot 83% from the free throw line (1st)

Tanner handles the ball extremely well while seeing the court better than most point guards attaining a 3 to 1 assist to turnover ratio.

In Tanners 1st varsity basketball game against Admiral Farragut this past season he scored 26 points going 6 – 8 from the three, 7-8 from the free throw line, handled out 4 assists and grabbed 4 rebounds.
